Che Yu(Jesse), Su has always believed that music must come from the heart tomove people the most. Since the moment he decided to become a violinist, Jesse has relentlessly pursued this goal, continually progressing toward it. As a musician, Jesse emphasizes the importance of respecting and understanding the methods and inner thoughts of each composer, firmly believing that playing beautiful music is only possible
when one truly understands the composer.
Jesse’s talent as a musician was evident in 2010 when he won the Nantou competition in Taiwan and performed Mozart's Violin Concerto No.3 with an orchestra. He was also the recipient of the NSYSU performance award in 2014 and 2015 and secured 3rd prize at the 2014 National Music Competition. Additionally, he represented his school at the Future Star & Maestro Music Festival. In 2022, he won the Taiwan Chapter Society of Peabody Alumni competition, earning an opportunity to perform at the National Concert Hall in 2023.
Jesse has extensive ensemble experience in both Taiwan and America. He has played with numerous orchestras such as the Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra, Baroque Camerata Orchestra, and Taiwan Soloists Symphony Orchestra since 2014. He served as concertmaster for the NSYSU Orchestra and performed with the Peabody Symphony Orchestra and Peabody Chamber Orchestra, even gracing the stage at the Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts. Currently, Jesse is a violinist with the Allentown Symphony Orchestra.
A talented violinist, Jesse (Che Yu) Su, a native of Taiwan, holds a bachelor's degree in music from Sun Yat-Sen University and has continued his musical studies in America. He is a graduate of the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University, where he studied under Keng-Yuan Tseng.
